An LCD is provided to charge a first liquid crystal cell with a potential difference between a first data voltage supplied to a first pixel electrode and a second data voltage supplied to a second pixel electrode horizontally adjacent to the first pixel electrode, thereby minimizing flicker and afterimage. A data driving circuit supplies analog voltage to a plurality of data lines. A plurality of gate lines cross the gate lines. A first pixel/common electrode is shared by liquid crystal cells adjacent to each other in a row direction. A second pixel/common electrode is shared by the adjacent liquid crystal cells. The second pixel/common electrode faces the first pixel/electrode to form electric field to each of the adjacent liquid crystal cells. A first switch element conducts between an odd-numbered data line and the first pixel/common electrode in response to a scan signal. A second switch element conducts between an even-numbered data line and the second pixel/common electrode in response to the scan signal.
