A method for manufacturing a lens for an LED(Light Emitting Diode) package is provided to produce the lens having smooth surfaces and to form pointed, protruded, or recessed patterns on the surface of the lens. A method for manufacturing a lens for an LED package comprises the steps of: providing a substrate(200) attached with an LED chip(100); providing an LED package lens mold(300) having a cavity(310) for containing resin forming the lens for the LED package, wherein the resin filled into the cavity is not stuck as the entire mold or a portion of the mold including the inside of the cavity is made of fluorine resin; and placing the substrate on the lens mold and separating the LED package lens mold from the resin and the substrate.
