An apparatus for generating sodium hypochlorite by electrolyzing brine of a low concentration is provided to generate an electrolysis solution of a stabilized concentration, enable bipolar plates to be alternately operated, reduce costs for maintenance, repair and management, safely exhaust hydrogen gas generated during electrolysis, and generate a sodium hypochlorite with high disinfection efficiency. An electrolysis type sodium hypochlorite generator comprises: a power control part(C) in which a rectifier is embedded; an electrolysis part(A); an electrolyzed water adjusting part(B) including a dilution water unit(51) and a brine unit(52); an air blower(6); a cooling air sensor(12); a leakage sensor(29); a relay tank(70); and a salt tank(60), wherein a circulation pump(61) installed at a side part of the salt tank is operated such that salt in the salt tank is dissolved by dilution water to generate saturated brine of a low concentration, saturated brine flown into the brine unit together with dilution water discharged from the dilution water unit flow into a first electrolyzer(4) of the electrolysis part, the saturated brine and the dilution water together with air cooled in the air blower flow into first and second electrolyzers(4,5) according to instructions of the cooling air sensor so as to generate a sodium hypochlorite solution, the generated sodium hypochlorite solution is discharged to the relay tank and transferred to a sodium hypochlorite storing tank by a relay pump(72), and electrolytic gas generated during the electrolysis is exhausted to the outside through a vent(14). |
