The seat (2) has a back rest (6) that is detachably locked against a preload force of a torsion spring (12) in an inclined exertion position, and tiltable after releasing the lock by the force. Dead weight of the back rest is pivoted from the exertion position into a horizontal non-exertion position. The spring is combined with the back rest such that the spring applies a reset force (34) directed against the dead weight, between an intermediate position and the non-exertion position, where the intermediate position lies between a vertical position and the non-exertion position.
