An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to improve the arrangement of three sub-pixel electrodes constituting one pixel, thereby raising the aperture ratio and the transmissivity. Wires are formed on a first insulating substrate, wherein the wires include gate lines(121) and data lines(141). Pixel electrodes are electrically connected to the gate lines and the data lines. Each of the pixel electrodes includes a first sub-pixel electrode(161a) and a second sub-pixel electrode(161b), which are disposed in an extension direction of the data line, and a third sub-pixel electrode(161c), which partially faces the first sub-pixel electrode and the second sub-pixel electrode in an extension direction of the gate line.
