<p>A system and method for reducing anxiety in an individual by using an apparel device for applying various pressure to at least one selected body part of the individual. At least one physiological parameter indicative of the individual's anxiety level is measured and used for controlling the pressure applied by the apparel, in varying degrees and for varying periods of time, to at least one selected body part of the individual. The system is particularly useful for soothing and pacifying individuals suffering from a sensory modulation disorder, such as autism.</p> |
