METHOD FOR NOTIFYING RECONFIGURATION OF IP/MAC PLATFORM AND THE DVB SYSTEM THEREFOR

A method for notifying the reconfiguration of an IP/MAC(Internet Protocol/Medium Access Control) platform and a DVB(Digital Video Broadcasting) system are provided to offer a continuous service in generating the reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform. A DVB receiving terminal monitors a program map table, including a notice information field notifying whether the reconfiguration of an IP/MAC platform is generated and a time field indicating time when the reconfiguration is generated, periodically(400,410). The DVB receiving terminal judges whether the reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform will be generated by referring to the notice information field(420). When the reconfiguration of the IP/MAC platform will be generated, the DVB receiving terminal recomposes new IP/MAC platform information(430). When IP/MAC platform reconfiguration generation time set up in the time field arrives, the DVB receiving terminal applies the recomposed IP/MAC platform information(440,450).
