In an assembly including a photographic viewfinder and a component having a reference mark located outside the viewfinder field, said viewfinder including an objective lens, an eye lens and between the objective and eye lens a semitransparent mirror for reflecting an image of the index mark into the viewfinder field, the objective lens or a component thereof is provided with a semitransparent mirror surface in an area corresponding to the region of the viewfinder field within which the image of said index mark is to be observed, so that in order to render the latter image clearly discernable the brightness of the viewfinder image within said region is reduced compared to the remainder of the viewfinder image. As shown, the viewfinder comprises an objective lens 7, an eye lens 8, and a front protective plane-parallel glass plate 9. Images of field bounding marks 6 are reflected into the viewfinder field by means of a mirror 10, a lens 11 and a semi-reflecting mirror 12. Light passing through an aperture 13 in the field bounding mark plate 5 and also through a member comprising two coloured transparent plates 15, 16 on a lever 14 coupled to an exposure-value regulating device (not shown) is also reflected into the viewfinder field in a similar manner. So that the image produced thereby may be clearly seen in the viewfinder field, a semi-reflecting area 17 is arranged on either the front or back of the plate 9 or on a plane surface of the objective lens 7. |
