NOZZLE DRYING-PREVENTING APPARATUS AND METHOD

An apparatus and a method for preventing dryness of a nozzle are provided to prevent blockage of a nozzle by maintaining a properly wet state before the ink is ejected. A humidifying unit(520) contains a solvent at one side, and contacts a nozzle of an application device. A horizontal moving unit(510) horizontally moves the humidifying unit and the nozzle relative to each other. A solvent ejector(530) ejects a solvent to a contact surface of the humidifying unit. The contact surface of the humidifying unit is formed of silicon rubber of a polymer resin. The humidifying unit includes a body having a predetermined space containing the solvent and a contact unit partially dipped into the solvent and contacting the nozzle.
