DISPLAY PANEL AND VENT FORMING METHOD THEREOF

A flat panel display device and a vent forming method are provided to form a uniform vent in a glass panel along a depth direction by using an ultraviolet laser device. At least one glass panel(40) of a flat display device is disposed at a focus location of a laser beam. A plurality of wobbles with a predetermined width are formed by shaking the laser beam in two orthogonal directions. The wobble is advanced along a concentric circuit or a spiral to fill a desired aperture shape. A focus location of the laser beam is uniformly accelerated in a direction perpendicular to the two orthogonal directions. A surface of the vent is processed in a state where the laser beam is defocused. A laser device emitting a laser beam having a wavelength falling within an ultraviolet area of 200nm to 400nm is used.
