The invention concerns an articulating device (10) for a motor vehicle door (12) comprising a wall (19) wherein is provided an opening (16), said opening defining a part having an outer rim (28) and an inner rim (30), said part having a cavity (34) between an outer lateral edge (38) bordering said outer rim (28) and an opposite lateral edge (40), said articulating device comprising a U-shaped hinge (22) having one end (48) integral with said door (12) and a second end (41) pivotably mounted in said cavity (34). The invention is characterized in that said door (12) is located recessed relative to said outer rim (28), said first end (48) of said U-shaped hinge being located proximate said opposite lateral edge (40), and in that the articulating device (10) comprises a flexible strip (36) linking said outer lateral edge (38) and said first end (48). |
