A method for selecting a key value of a remote controller is provided to allow a user to interchange two key values when a position change key of a remote controller is inputted to arbitrarily change a key value of a desired position. When a user first selects a position change key and inputs a position change key value(S10), it is checked whether an arbitrary key value 'A' is inputted(S20). When the key value 'A' is inputted, the key value 'A' is stored in a memory unit(S30), and it is checked whether an arbitrary key value 'B' is inputted(S40). When the key value 'B' is inputted, the key value 'B' is stored in the memory unit(S50) and the inputted key values 'A' and 'B' are interchanged so as to be newly set. That is, the key value of 'A' is set as the key value of 'B', and the key value of 'B' is changed to the key value of 'A'(S60).
