A device and a method for processing data with a FIFO(First Input First Output) device are provided to reduce data skew, increase the number of valid data windows, and increase reliability of the device owing to increase of the valid data windows. A first sampling circuit(20-1) samples a logical state of input data by responding to a first edge of a first clock signal and holds a sampling result. A delay circuit(30) outputs a second clock signal by delaying the received first clock signal for a predetermined time. The FIFO device(40-1~40-n) process the sampling result of the first sampling circuit in a FIFO mode by responding to the first edge of a second clock signal received from the delay circuit. A second sampling circuit(20-2) samples the logical state of the inputted data by responding to a second edge of the first clock signal and holds the sampling result. The FIFO device process the sampling result of the second sampling circuit in the FIFO mode by responding to the second edge of the second clock signal received from the delay circuit. A phase shifter(50) receives a data strobe signal and generates the first signal having a 90 angular degree phase difference from a data strobe signal.
