A noise canceler and a receiving apparatus using the same are provided to solve a problem that the length of an interpolation period for performing interpolation by a noise cancel processing is fixed while a low pass filter widens a pulse width of a pulse noise, and is inevitably lengthened at the interpolation period to unnecessarily degrade quality of reproduction signal. An LPF(Low Pass Filter)(2011) receives a demodulation signal. An interpolation processing unit(2012) receives the demodulation signal, which has passed through the LPF(2011), and a pulse noise detect signal indicating presence of a pulse noise, and performs interpolation based on the demodulation signal with respect to a period determined by the pulse noise detect signal. A substitution processing unit(2013) receives the demodulation signal after the interpolation, the pulse noise detect signal, the demodulation signal before being passed through the LPF(2011), and outputs a signal obtained by substituting a signal at the period of the demodulation signal before being passed through the LPF(2011) with the signal after the interpolation at the period. An LPF(202) receives a signal outputted from the substitution processing unit(2013) and has a cutoff frequency higher than that of the LPF(2011).
