A soil sedimentation prevention device is provided to prevent soil and impurities contained in water from settling to the bottom by increasing the velocity of water. A soil sedimentation prevention device(10) for preventing the sedimentation of soil and impurities includes a column(11) installed to a sediment area of a river or a channel, and a velocity accelerator such as a wing(20) installed to a joint(14) of the column to make the upstream end of the column higher than the downstream end relatively to accelerate the velocity of river water to move soil or impurities contained in river water together with river water not to be settled to the bottom. |
