A protective mat for the transplantation of a tree and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce the volume of the protective mat and simplify the manufacturing process, and to produce a nourishing mat coated with the suitable nutritive elements for the condition of a tree. A protective mat for the transplantation of a tree comprises: a sheet(110) made of natural fiber; and a manure-coated layer which covers all the surfaces of the sheet and supplies nutritive elements to the root of a tree continuously. The manure-coated layer comprises an organic fertilizer and a water-retaining agent. The protective mat for the transplantation of a tree is manufactured by making a sheet with natural fiber material; and soaking the sheet in liquefied manure(120a) to coat all the surfaces of the sheet with the manure, wherein the coating step comprises one selected from the group consisting of spraying liquefied manure on the sheet, soaking the sheet in liquefied manure, and pressing solidified manure on the sheet. |
