A method and a system for providing an MMS(Multimedia Message Service) transmission service using a Web client are provided to allow a user to simply send various contents of his computer to another party. A U-MMS client module(112) is downloaded to a subscriber terminal and executed as a client program of a U-MMS transmission service within the subscriber terminal, and handles sequential processing related to performing of the U-MMS transmission service of a U-MMS system while communicating with the U-MMS system. A server-client interface module(113) communicates with the U-MMS client program. An MMS transmission module(114) handles transmission of an MMS in an information communication network in association with the U-MMS system. A log-in processing unit(116) handles processing of log-in when a U-MMS service subscriber uses the service. A log-in information database(117) stores log-in information of U-MMS service subscribers. A controller(111) handles sequential processing related to the U-MMS transmission service by controlling each element.
