An index of a display is provided to employ a door of covering a display part to prevent light to being transmitted to a user directly when the user shows the display in the state when an interior lamp is turned off at night. The index of a display includes a mounting groove(20), a display part(30), and a door(50). The mounting groove(20) is formed in an opened portion of a front surface of the display, and has a guide groove(21). The display part(30) is embedded in the mounting groove(20) and provided with a lamp to indicate whether the display is operated. The door(50) is embedded in a space part adjacent to the mounting groove(20). The door(50) covers the display part(30) while moving along the guide groove(21). A knob is provided on the front surface of the door(50) to manipulate the door(50) manually.
