A black ink composition is provided to realize a neutral black tone in printing, a high color concentration and excellent decap at a printer head by using a mixed dye having excellent light fastness and water fastness. A black ink composition comprises an azo-based metal complex dye, a supplementary dye and a solvent, wherein the supplementary dye is at least one dye selected from the group consisting of Acid Blue 9, Direct Blue 86, Direct Blue 199, Reactive Red 23, Acid Red 52, Direct Red 75, Direct Violet 107, Reactive Red 180, Reactive Red 195, Direct Red 227 and Acid Red 289, and the azo-based metal complex dye and the supplementary dye are mixed in a weight ratio of 50:1-2:1.
