摘要 An array substrate for an LCD and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to reduce voltage distortion between a common line and a pixel electrode, thereby suppressing light leakage and improving contrast characteristic. A first gate line(120a) and a second gate line(120b) are distanced from each other above a substrate. A common line(140) is positioned between the first gate line and the second gate line, in parallel with the gate lines. A data line(130) crosses the first gate line and the second gate line based on the common line, thereby defining a first pixel region and a second pixel region. A first TFT(T1) is formed at a crossing point of the first gate line and the data line, and a second TFT(T2) is formed at a crossing point of the second gate line and the data line. A first pixel electrode(160a) is connected to the first TFT within the first pixel region. A second pixel electrode(160b) is connected to the second TFT with the second pixel region. End portions of the first and second pixel electrodes, which are adjacent to the common line, overlap the common line, respectively.
