Doenjang containing Molokhia and a preparation method thereof are provided to inhibit a loss caused by the discoloration of Doenjang in aging and storing processes, and to add useful ingredients of Molokhia such as crude protein and dietary fiber to Doenjang. Doenjang containing Molokhia is prepared by the steps of: i) drying Molokhia powder having a particle size of 200~300mesh and a water content of 2~3%, and dispersing 5~15wt% of the dried Molokhia powder in 100wt% of refined water to obtain a dispersion fluid of Molokhia; ii) soaking wheat in refined water, steaming it, and inoculating the steamed wheat with Aspergillus oryzae as seed malt to ferment malt; iii) mixing steamed soybeans, the dispersion fluid of Molokhia, and the fermented malt; and iv) adding salt water to the mixture, inoculating it with Bacillus sp. strain, and then fermenting and aging it. The Doenjang comprises wheat and soybeans in a weight ratio of 4~6:6~4.
