The invention relates to zootechny, in particular to the sheep selection. The top stud-type sheep (Ovis aries L.) Moldovan Tsigai is created by crossing native milk-wool type Tsigai sheep with the Crimean and Triazovsky intrabreed types of Tsigai sheep with further ôin selfö reproduction of the obtained genotypes. The animals have fleece semifine wool, the head and the extremities wool being of white colour, proportional head, ears of average length, slightly hanging. The body is long enough, sound constitution, strong skeleton and hoofs, strong and bony legs. The rams are horned with big helical horns or hornless. The lambs are forward. The top stud-type sheep Moldovan Tsigai exceed the standard requirements in clipping by 46.8%, in live weight by 32% and in milk production by 57%.
