A NETWORK FOR UTILIZING SESSION INITIATION PROTOCOL FOR IDENTIFYING USER EQUIPMENT RESOURCE RESERVATION SETUP PROTOCOL CAPABILITIES

A network for using a session initiation protocol for identifying user equipment resource reservation setup protocol capabilities is provided to offer a mechanism that an RSVP available UE and an RSVP available GSSN notifies mutually RSVP capabilities before arbitrary communications are generated by using the RSVP. A communication initiation apparatus includes a UE(User Equipment) and a first network. The UE includes a unit configured to transmit an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) invitation message including an SDP(Session Description Protocol) which indicates medium parameters. The first network includes a GPRS(General Packet Radio Service) GGSN(Gateway General packet radio service Support Node) for receiving the SIP message which indicates the RSVP(Resource Reservation Protocol) of the UE such as transmitting media types, capabilities, and a preferable operation mode.
