A drum assembly (1) cuts a printed product (2) as it feeds towards a fixed blade that operates in conjunction with an opposing blade (6) and cutting unit (6) operating around a circular cutting track around the drum (7). The blade (3) is almost transverse to the direction of rotation of the opposite blade (5) and has a cutting edge that follows a helical track. The cutting edge is fixed to a shaft (10) following the cylinder mantle.
