A passenger air-bag is provided to reduce the volume of a cushion and capacity of an inflator since the cushion is inflated in the shape of a folded wire, and to cut down the manufacturing cost of the inflator by using an inexpensive explosion type inflator. A passenger air-bag comprises an air-bag housing, an air-bag door, an inflator, a cushion(10), and a tether(20). The air-bag housing is secured on an instrument panel. The air-bag door opens and closes the air-bag housing. The inflator is mounted within the air-bag housing, allowing inflation of the air-bag. The cushion is placed in the air-bag housing, having a plurality of ring wires(11,12,13) extending to the outside the air-bag housing when the air-bag is inflated. The tether is provided at the outside the cushion for shaping inflation of the cushion.
