There described a continuous transesterification of a dimethyl- or diethylterephthalate with an ethandiol, propandiol or butandiol in presence of a transesterification catalyst, where the mixtures are entered in the reactor through reaction canals or tubes (5) and at the outlet from this stage the mixture is supplied correspondingly to the column stage. There, the reaction mixture is subjected to mass and energy exchange together with flowing against vapors of subsequent stages prior to supplying it to the reaction canals or tubes of next stage and, after all, withdraw the transesterification product from the reactor. |
