A toilet bowl to be electrically opened and closed and an opening and closing method thereof are provided to be used by a user conveniently by opening and closing a toilet cover and a toilet seat by using an electromotive unit. A toilet bowl to be electrically opened and closed includes a toilet body(110), a toilet cover(120), a motor assembly(140), a friction hinge and a sensing unit. The motor assembly is pivotally hinge-coupled to the toilet body. The friction hinge helps the manual opening and closing of the toilet cover in the state that external power is intercepted completely. The sensing unit includes a magnet and first and second hole sensors that react to the magnetic force of the magnet to sense the opening and closing state and the movement of the toilet. The driving direction and operation of the motor assembly are determined by first and second hole sensors.
