The loader has a traversing axial channel (20) with an expulsion distal orifice (24a) at a distal part (18) of the traversing axial channel, a rod introducing orifice (22a) at a proximal part (16) of the traversing axial channel, and a longitudinal groove (25) for introducing a prosthesis folded on itself in a longitudinal direction, in the traversing axial channel. The expulsion distal orifice has a section identical or smaller than that of a distal orifice of another axial channel of a prosthesis-holder. An independent claim is also included for a method of loading a prosthesis in a prosthesis-holder.
