ELECTROMAGNETIC FIELD REDUCTION METHOD OF THE MOBILE TERMINAL AND THE WEARABLE DEVICES USING A METAMATERIAL

A terminal using metamaterials and a method for reducing electromagnetic waves therein are provided to reduce the amount of electromagnetic waves absorbed into the human body by applying metamaterials to the antenna of a portable or wearable terminal and forming the antenna radiation pattern as a half moon or fan-shape. A terminal comprises an electromagnetic wave reduction part(110) and an antenna(120). The electromagnetic wave reduction part(110) is formed of metamaterials, such as artificial magnetic conductors. The antenna(120) is installed at the opposite side of a body contact portion(130) on the basis of the electromagnetic wave reduction part(110).
