A portable side protecting band for a vehicle is provided to protect a lateral side of the vehicle by attaching the portable side protecting band to the lateral side of the vehicle. A portable side protecting band for a vehicle comprises a plurality of inner guide rolls(10), outer guide rolls(20,20'), front and rear rotating rings and a support rod. The inner guide rolls are provided at front surface thereof with rails and formed at rear surfaces thereof with rail slots. The outer guide rolls are installed at two opposite ends of the inner guide rolls. The front and rear rotating rings are mounted on ends of the outer guide rolls. The support rod is attached to an inner surface of the inner guide roll and equipped with a spring.
