<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive thermosetting composition capable of forming a protective layer with good image reproducibility, a color filter and a liquid crystal display device. <P>SOLUTION: The photosensitive thermosetting composition for a protective film contains an ethylenically unsaturated compound and/or a compound having an epoxy group within a molecule as a heat crosslinking agent and further contains a photopolymerization initiator. When the composition is applied on a flat surface of a glass substrate 2 in a film thickness of 2 μm, irradiated with 100 mJ/cm<SP>2</SP>of ultraviolet light of 365 nm wavelength through a mask having a thin line pattern of 25 μm line width, subjected to shower development at 23°C and 0.25 MPa water pressure, and heat-treated at 230°C for 30 min to protrusively form a thin line image 12 on the glass substrate 2, a taper angle made by a lateral face of each protrusion of the thin line image 12 to the flat surface of the glass substrate 2 is ≥40°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
