PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air filter unit that can be assembled readily. SOLUTION: The air filter unit 1 has a filter accommodating box 10, structured with its back face open and furnished with a draft hole 12 in the front wall 11, and in this box 10 a deodorizing filter 20, and a dust-collecting filter 30 are inserted in the sequence as named from the opening in the back face. The box 10 has four sidewalls 13, 14, 15, 16 upper and lower, and left and right, among which the left and right sidewalls 15 and 16 confronting each other are furnished on their inner surfaces with first projections 17 plunging into the side face of the dust-collecting filter 30 inserted.
