PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make picture quality adjustment functions such as contour enhancement and color correction possible without increasing a circuit size and processing time for original image data in image resizing processing. SOLUTION: The electronic zoom apparatus is provided with a tap coefficient setting means in which a user can arbitrarily set a tap coefficient, and an image quality adjusting parameter setting means. Moreover, it realizes a filter function in which the user can arbitrarily perform desired filter properties for original image without increasing the circuit size by preparing a gamma characteristic means using a gain rise part by summing of a tap number in an electronic zoom processing means, and realizes a resizing function of a YC (brightness/color difference signal) image and an image quality adjusting function at the same time in one pass of electronic zoom processing without increasing processing time.
