PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an acceleration sensor that is improved in unwanted output from generating by pyroelectric effect, within an end region in which a detection element is held by a fixing wall. SOLUTION: The acceleration sensor A is provided with the detection element 3A having a plurality of laminated piezoelectric elements 31, 32, and a pair of holding members 4a, 4b for holding main faces at one end of the detection element in the longitudinal direction. The fixing wall 2, having a fixing penetration hole, is provided within an opening of a rectangular case 1, one end of the detection element 3A is held and inserted into the fixing penetration hole, and the opening of the case 1 is sealed by a sealing resin 5. A lead-out section is formed in a detection electrode between both the main faces and layers in the detection element, led out along a side end, and is electrically connected to a terminal electrode disposed within the case. The lead-out section of the electrode which is not mutually connected among the detecting electrode is led out along the different side end of the detection element, and the lead-out section of the electrode that is not mutually connected in the region held by the fixing penetration hole will not face the front and back directions through the piezoelectric element.
