PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device for a flat display to manually turn the flat display to the right and the left in the horizontal direction, to manually slant (tilt and elevate) the display in the cross direction, moreover, to manually adjust the height in the vertical direction, and to facilitate manual operation with a simple structure. SOLUTION: The hinge device comprises a mechanism for manually turning the flat display to the right and the left in the horizontal direction while supporting the flat display in the bottom, a mechanism for manually slanting it in the cross direction, and a mechanism for manually lifting up and down in the vertical direction: The turning mechanism in the right and the left horizontal direction is constituted of a horizontally turned position holding means, and a transmission means for transmitting the right and the left horizontal directional turning motion of the above flat display to the horizontally turned position holding means: The cross directional slanting mechanism is constituted of a cross directional position holding means, and a transmission means for transmitting the cross directional slanting motion of the above flat display to the cross directional slanting position holding means: The lifting mechanism in the vertical direction is constituted of a lifted position holding means, and a transmission means for transmitting the lifting motion of the above flat display to the lifted position holding means.
