PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide clay having excellent adhesiveness with water resistance and low tackiness which can be water sanded and further to provide the clay from which a work stable over a long period is formed without breakage or deformation even if placed outdoor. SOLUTION: The clay is obtained by kneading a clay composition comprising water-based emulsion consisting essentially of a polymer or a copolymer of acrylic ester and/or methacrylic ester, water-soluble paste, a granular body and water added if need, and dried clay has water resistance and adhesiveness.
