The vehicle has an operating device (18) for moving a folding top (12) and a folding top flap (14), where a control device (16) is provided for controlling the operation of the operating device and a detection device (20) for detecting a potential object in a movement area of the folding top. A sensor is attached to each side of the folding top flap.
