<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a white light which is easy to be put into practical use and whose white balance is satisfactory, by reducing variance of color components between manufactured products. <P>SOLUTION: This apparatus is provided with a light-emitting element 2 of a group III nitride-based semiconductor, having a blue light-emitting layer emitting light in blue region and a green light-emitting layer that emits light in green region, and a fluorescent substance excited with the blue light and emitting light from yellow region to red region. The apparatus obtains the white light by the combination of the blue light and green light emitted from the light-emitting element 2, and the wavelength conversion light, emitted from the fluorescent substance due to the excitation with the blue light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
