<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top-emission light-emitting device which achieves a narrower-band emission spectrum or an increased amount of outgoing light. <P>SOLUTION: The light-emitting device includes a substrate 11; an optical reflection layer 13 formed on the substrate 11 for reflecting a light; a transparent electrode 14 formed on the optical reflection layer 13 for light transmission; a light-emitting layer 15 formed on the transparent electrode 14 for light emission; a semi-reflection electrode 16 formed on the light-emitting layer 15 for transmitting some portions of the light from the light-emitting layer 15, and reflecting any other portions of the light; and a conductive semi-reflection layer 17 formed on the semi-reflection electrode 16 for transmitting some portions of the light from the semi-reflection electrode 16, and reflecting any other portions of the light. The semi-reflection electrode 16 has a work function of 4 electron volts or less, and the conductive semi-reflection layer 17 is formed with meal materials (such as silver) having the optical reflectance higher than that of the semi-reflection electrode 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
