PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit signals in various bands easily with high quality in an OFDM communication system. SOLUTION: A transmission apparatus includes a mapping means for converting data to be transmitted into a group of data made to correspond to each of sub-carriers, an inverse Fourier transforming means for transforming the group of data into time sequential signals, and a means for generating a transmission symbol for radio transmission from the time sequential signals. The mapping means makes data to be transmitted correspond to the sub-carrier which is different from a plurality of predetermined sub-carriers positioned on a frequency axis at equal intervals. The demapping means of a reception apparatus outputs, as data for restoration, the data made to correspond to the sub-carrier which is different from the plurality of predetermined sub-carriers positioned on the frequency axis at equal intervals.
