PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce an image written to a recording medium on a monitor for a general-purpose computer as the image having a high quality. SOLUTION: A color adjusting system for a monitor adjusts relation between the color display characteristics of the monitor 4b and the color display characteristics of the monitor 53 for the general-purpose computer 51 writing and displaying the image for the recording medium MD, in a photograph processor DP with a writing device WT writing the image data of the image decided as data properly color-corrected by the display of the monitor 4b to the recording medium MD. The image data of the image for adjusting a color and identification information for specifying the photograph processor DP are written to the recording medium MD in this case, and information color-adjusted by displaying the image for adjusting the color to the monitor 53 for the general-purpose computer 51 is stored in association with the identification information.
