The method involves assigning a transport subarea to the connection identifications of a transport orderer (BAG) and to a conveyance (BM) present in a transport area (BB). The transport subarea assigned to the connection identification is determined with the structure of a communication connection initiated by the transport orderer using a switching system provided in a central switching entity (ZVU). The communication connection is developed between the conveyance and the transport orderer for the direct transmission of the order for a transport order (BA), with an agreed transport subarea.
