<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of preventing a control parameter from being improper or erroneously determined caused by the error of the characteristic of a toner concentration sensor. <P>SOLUTION: A memory circuit board 19Y is provided in a developing unit 7Y having: a developing roll for developing a latent image carried on a photoreceptor with developer containing toner and magnetic carrier, which is carried on its surface; a supply developer storage part for storing the developer to be supplied to the developing roll; and a toner concentration sensor for detecting the toner concentration of the developer in the supply developer storage part. Then, the characteristic information of the toner concentration sensor is stored in the non-volatile memory chip of the memory circuit board 19Y. Meanwhile, a control part to perform predetermined control based on an output signal from the toner concentration sensor performs the predetermined control based on the characteristic information stored in the non-volatile memory chip. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
