<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system in which an exchange unit to be loaded to an image forming apparatus main body can be identified. <P>SOLUTION: A label 78 is stuck on the outer upper surface of a developer recovery part 44 of a process cartridge 46. The label 78 has on its surface, trade mark 80 and a description part 82 including note of caution and manual. Invisible identification information 84 such as an encoded watermark is buried as information by an image showing the trademark 80. The identification information 84 is information to identify the process cartridge 46 such as a serial number specifying the process cartridge 46 and the type of developer stored in the developing device 34. When the process cartridge 46 is loaded in the image forming apparatus main body 12, an information reader 88 reads the identification information 84 on the label 78 and then outputs it to a controller 56. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
