<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smart entry system k which enables a user to determine whether or not the impossibility of the control of the locking or unlocking of a vehicle door is caused by the radio wave environment. <P>SOLUTION: This smart entry system 1 comprises a portable machine 2, and an in-vehicle machine 3 which controls the locking or unlocking of the vehicle door on the basis of bidirectional communication with the portable machine 2. The in-vehicle machine 3 is equipped with an in-vehicle-machine reception state detecting means 10c for detecting the reception state of the in-vehicle machine 3. The portable machine 2 comprises: a portable-machine reception state detecting means 6b for detecting the reception state of the portable machine 2; a radio-wave-environment determination means 6c for determining whether the radio wave environment is right or wrong, on the basis of the reception state of the portable machine 2 and that of the in-vehicle machine 3; and a display means 6d for displaying the right or wrong status of the radio wave environment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
