<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a gradient of an electric field applied between electrodes that drive a liquid crystal and to apply an optimal electric field between the electrodes by increasing an interval between the electrodes. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes: a first electrode 101 formed over a substrate 100; an insulating film 102 formed over the substrate 100 and the first electrode 101; a semiconductor film 103 formed over the insulating film 102 and including a source, a channel region and a drain of a thin film transistor 121; a second electrode 112 including first opening patterns 112a, 112b, located over the semiconductor film 103 and the first electrode 101; and a liquid crystal 114 provided over the second electrode 112. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
