PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm apparatus monitoring method and an alarm apparatus monitoring device which can be incorporated in existing alarm apparatus simply without requiring any remodeling of the alarm apparatus and can surely give an alarm for emergency of which the occurrence time cannot be expected. SOLUTION: In the alarm apparatus monitoring method, an alarm device 1 comprises a load 12 and a driving circuit 11 which outputs a signal for driving the load, and a lead wire 13 connecting the load 12 and he driving circuit 11 and one side of a bridge circuit 21 in a monitoring device 2 are connected through a diode D, and the fact that the diode enters into a non-operating state due to a low voltage during non-operation of the alarm device 1 is utilized to form a closed circuit of the monitoring device 2 and the lead wire 13, and a potential change appearing at an output end of he bridge circuit 21, and an alarm for emergency like short-circuit or disconnection of the alarm device 1 is given in accordance with the detection result.
