PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device wherein a sensing element can be integrally formed while a numerical aperture of a pixel is highly maintained. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device, a first switching element couples a data line selectively to either of a data driving part and a sense signal generator. The sense signal generator generates a sensing signal by sensing the change in capacitance of a liquid crystal capacitor of each pixel through the data line in while the first switching element couples the data line to the sense signal generator. The sense signal generator preferably includes a switched capacitor amplifier. The first switching element couples the data line to an input end of the switched capacitor amplifier. At this time, voltage of the input end of the switched capacitor amplifier is varied in response to the change of the capacitance of the liquid crystal capacitor. The switched capacitor amplifier amplifies voltage change of the input end and outputs the resultant voltage as the sensing signal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
