PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-direction slide type electronic component capable of surely and smoothly performing movement without unstably moving in the moving of a slide knob. SOLUTION: The multi-direction slide type electronic component 1 is equipped with the slide knob 30 and a knob holding member 60. The knob holding member 60 is composed by integrating forming a knob mounting part 61 for mounting the slide knob 30, a frame body 63 for surrounding the knob mounting part 61, and an arm part 65 having flexibility for connecting so that the knob mounting part 61 becomes freely slidable in the multi-direction of the same surface with respect to the frame body 63. A switch pressing part 73 forming a conductive body 75 is provided in the frame body 63. A pressing part 37 for moving the switch pressing part 73 downward by pressing switch pressing part 73 is provided on the slide knob 30 when the slide knob 30 is slidingly moved.
