PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial cable uniform in thickness of a metal layer, strong in adhesion between the metal layer and a dielectric layer and excellent in durability and productivity, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The coaxial cable incorporates the electrolytic metal plating layer (5) provided as a shield layer around a fluororesin dielectric layer (2) covering an inner conductor (1). The electrolytic metal plating layer (5) is formed on a conductive resin film (4), and an adhesive resin film (3) that exhibits a medium-like adhering capability to the conductive resin film (4) and the dielectric layer (2) is provided between the conductive resin film (4) and the dielectric layer (2).
